Rwandan opposition calls for massive protest against Paul Kagame in Chicago 10-12 June

by Immaculee Uwayezu

Join us in Chicago for a massive protest against Paul Kagame criminal record and dictatorship

Dear Fellow Rwandans and Friends of Rwanda,

Please talk to the media, call your representative and contact HyattRegency Hotel, 151 East Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60601, Tel: +1 312 565 1234; Fax: +1312 239 4414.

Feel free to edit and use the following script.

We are writing to express our concern and indignation that HyattRegency Hotel, a leader in hospitality in North America and around theGlobe is planning to host a brutal dictator and deluded world criminal, General Paul Kagame of Rwanda.

Paul Kagame was cited in the UN Mapping report as the instigator ofthe killing of more than 3 million Rwandan refugees and Congolesecitizens in Eastern Congo between 1996 and 2003.
Two internationaljustice systems (French and Spanish) have indicted him, his generals, and his 40 close associates for having killed his predecessor andthousands of innocent civilians in Rwanda.
In months leading to his re-election in 2010, Rwandan opposition leaders, Victoire Ingabire, DeoMushayidi and Bernard Ntaganda and journalists, Agnes Nkusi andSaidath Mukakibibi have been imprisoned while others were killed: Andrew Kagwa Rwisereka and Leonard Rugambage.

Recently, Paul Kagame attempted to the lives of Rwandan citizensmember of the opposition residing in South Africa and UK.
Reports bythe New York Times, the Guardian, the Independent and the BBCNewsnight have explained how the British Secret Services uncoveredplans by Kagames henchmen to eliminate his political opponents inthe UK.

The Rwandan Community in America is deeply concerned that same PaulKagame is on a covert trip aimed at implementing his criminalenterprise in the USA to target overt and supposed opponents to hisoppressive machine.

For all these reasons, many Rwandans and friends of Rwanda areprepared to come to Chicago on June 10-12, 2011 for a massive publicprotest against Paul Kagame dictatorship and criminal record both inRwanda and the Congo.

Thank you.

Stop your hate mongering: All the facts you are giving and full of lies just to serve your interest: When will you , stop these lies. You indicate that over 40 people were indicted. I beg you to find out what happened to the French indictments. Do some research. The French Govt has officially dismissed those indictments. I will also ask you to read the French criminal procedure book, to find out the basis– why this indictment was shelved. You talked about the UN Mapping. FYI, its the most controversial report in the UN history, till now, UN careerists are divided over this report. Please try to write when you have done some bit of research, so that whatever you write is not doubted.
To any one who may read the call above by Immaculee Uwayezu. Its aimed at tarnishing the image of HE Kagame, speared headed by those in opposition. For those who don’t know much about African opposition Politician, they use unsubstantiated facts to tarnish the image of the Govt.
FYI, this the Kagame that all rightful thinking Rwandans know about HE Kagame. HE Kagame and his leadership, inherited a shattered society, a criminal society, crumbled economy and above all, the loss of 0ver $1 million people, the Genocide of Tutsi. You can all imagine.
If any one of you received a letter in the mail appointing you to be president at that time, you would have written on it ” return to sender” It was not easy to be a leader in Rwanda. It was only People like HE Kagame, that could hear the call. He has delivered and he made us to be proud of Rwanda and to be Rwandans gain.
This is my message to you Rwandans: Stop listening to the so called Rwandan opposition politicians , they love to fish in the troubled waters. Don’t let that happy. HE Kagame is still the best hope for our nation. No one-not FDU, not Rudasingwa and his half brother and certainly not Rusesabagina has offered any alternative, either in leadership or solution to the problems our country has. The opposition criticisms about HE Kagame,is comprised of personal attacks, not affair assessment of his performance. The fact is HE Kagame has our Country headed in the right direction, and its not realistic to expect his policies to fix all problems of Rwanda in just 17 yrs. Indicators by the all developments agencies have indicated that Rwanda is a pillar on the AFrican Continent. We must reject any one trying to rewrite Rwanda history in their own interest. We don’t owe this to HE Kagame, we owe it to ourselves. Let us give his policies time to bear fruits. The good new is, he has a record of not failing his people. HE Kagame, has put our Rwanda back on Track. Rwandans will not go for less. No.

What else can you say! WHO are these Rwandans you’re reffering to? WHO are you to speak for some ple charged and actually pleaded guilty of terrorism? Where do you base your urgements? That mapping report? Do you think there is any difference btn you and those who compiled this report? One thing in common,;is non fundamental ,biased and baseless inf.
If you’rent sceptical of ur role in Genocide, come to Chicaco and listen to msgs of hope, self respect, dignity and you Will get to know how far we have in building our nation that you thought it Came to an end! Poor you, come and see United Rwanda! And you think the Hotel Management is as rdcls as you?? Why dont you seek more voive frm your hero (hotel servant) rusesabagina?

4 KABANDA { 06.01.11 at 5:09 pm }

Hey Rwandans especially those who are ready to free their country Rwanda from the war mongers and thieves. I am calling for the young Rwandans who are under 28 in exile in North America stand up for your right and show to the world that this tyrant Kagame is opposed on Rwandans, more than 80% of Rwandans do not want Kagame as their leader and you guys who are still young what do you want to continue suffering in exile living in a country where you do not have the basic right to your motherland?

Stand and stand for your right. Rwandans in USA and CANADA those young people esoecially our sisters and mothers Rwanda needs you today more than ever before because I want you to come and meet KAGAME and tell him in the face that he is a murderer and a killer. COME AND LIBERATE RWANDA

If Kagame is the heavenly leader you’re describing and hallowing, why are you so irritated and frightened? Don’t panic, we’re in democracy (even in Rwanda as the preach goes) and people should feel free to listen to anyone and judge by themselves. I guess freedom of speech, demonstration, rallying… is a meaningless expression for some. Peace, pepar.

Kabanda, chill and relax. I have this to inform you. The Kagame you are talking about is not the one who will be in Chicago. The Kagame I know who will be in Chicago, is the HE the President of the Republic of Rwanda. A performer, loved by Rwandans, recognized by the world as the ONLY person who managed to stop the genocide in Rwanda, when the world was watching. No corruption in Rwanda, role model for other countries, etc etc etc. So please, find another place you fit in, but this planet and forum is far a head of you.
Till then, oh, I have invited you to come and attend Rwanda Day, slated for 10-11 @ Chicago. You will hear all good stuff about Rwanda.

Mr. Kabanda and your friends, by authoring such a pack lies, you are making yourself ridiculous and irrelevant to the American audience and all Sound minded Rwandans. They surely know better that progress, for , of and by, the people of Rwanda is a reality across all secotor in our country ; social, economic, name it, data-informed Facts are clear. Because Kagame’s selfless and patriotic sacrifice to unite and develop the people of Rwanda, the people happily rallied behind him to persue this path in the recent VOTE and the hearts of the Rwanda people today ooze the desire to co exist and to forge progress and this is what they need. ….not surely your retrogressive sinsiter campaign of hetrade…..STOP STOP . In your wisdom, is there no better way you can be recognised? why not respect the people’s voice? you to rather ask people to go and listen to the presidents message, voice of reason for Rwanda.

Hi Mr Liar,
You’re a criminal hiding in USA. Stop spreading your
toxic lies to the people of the world. You have been offered a sanctuary, don’t misuse it in the interest of safeguarding your daily bread. The days of liars and thieves are numbered.

“more than 80% of Rwandans do not want Kagame as their leader” …I sense an insinuation relating to the ethnic compositiom of Rwanda. And am sure these are the same individuals who cant stand the genocide law.
Just remember one thing, if u r planning to take kagame down, you better be prepared to deal with countries from where Rift valley starts, to where it ends.

lack of objectivity can’t divorce the sense of sincerity. anyone who have been to Rwanda knows clearly the great achievements the country has registered under the visionary leadership of president Kagame

11 Jean Piere Habimana { 06.13.11 at 1:00 pm }

your all criminals and it seems everyone tries to hide his involvement in the genocide,
you are those in the hiding or whitemans land writting about Rwanda on those whitemen chairs.
Those you think is your right or justice cant be found in the land of monsters, if u think ur able to do what u think is as Rwandans why wont came back and do it in kigali? Ar u nationalist or political fans/flags that follow the winds.
Even if kagame was to step down i’m so sure you wont left those rooms u’ve been given to hide as poor refugees.
Now ur moved as dogs with ur mastas in europe, poor you and its shame to speak the shame of your father to the stranger.
Rwanda will only built by rwandans in rwanda not the hypocrisy and coward abroad.
